The Pain Behind Lost Garden

Pain as Motivation

It might sound strange, but if I hadn’t experienced joint pain as a child, I probably wouldn’t be where I am today, and Lost Garden wouldn’t exist.

It all began when I was eight years old, and I started experiencing severe knee pain. At the time, I was an active athlete, but the pain gradually made movement increasingly difficult. I was diagnosed with periostitis, and as a result of the inflammation, bone growths developed in my knees. Adolescence didn’t bring any relief either—by the age of 17, I had undergone mosaicplasty surgery on my ankle joint, as the cartilage had worn down to the bone, causing indescribable pain.

Since then, I’ve lived with chronic joint inflammation. Some days are better, some are worse, but pain has been a constant presence in my life. Contracting COVID-19 added another layer of challenge: the infection triggered such severe joint inflammation that I was left with limited mobility for several months. This “experience” made it crystal clear that I needed to find an urgent solution to improve my quality of life.

The Beginnings of My Dietary Supplement Development

I tried countless dietary supplements and treatment methods, but none provided lasting relief. The additives and artificial components in many products left me feeling uneasy. That’s when the idea came to me: I could use my professional knowledge and expertise to develop a formula tailored specifically to my needs. At the time, I never imagined these products would be available to others—I just wanted to free myself from my pain.

I aimed to create a product made entirely of natural, therapeutic ingredients, free from all artificial additives. As I delved deeper into the development process, it became increasingly clear that medicinal plants were the ideal base for my formula. And I succeeded. Within a few months, the inflammation in my body significantly decreased, and with it, the chronic pain I had endured for so long vanished.

My Professional Background

I graduated as a food biotechnology engineer in 2009, and this scientific background enabled me to develop a dietary supplement for personal use. Continuous research and testing of active ingredient combinations eventually yielded the results I had hoped for.

I wanted others to have access to this product as well. To use plant-based ingredients of the highest quality in my supplements, I needed deeper knowledge of medicinal plants. This led me to enroll in a postgraduate medicinal plant engineering program at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences. There, I studied the scientific foundations of phytotherapy (healing with medicinal plants). I’m currently preparing for my final exam and thesis defense, focusing on plant-based treatments for joint inflammation.

Founding My Own Company

Encouraged by the success of my first formulations, my husband Balázs and I founded Lost Garden Kft., where I produce and market my own products. Each of my first four products has a personal story behind it, along with 18 months of research, meticulous planning, and countless hours of work. Every capsule is handcrafted—not made with automated machinery—so I can use only the best natural ingredients, free from artificial additives (which are essential in machine-based production).

This process is not easy, as it requires significant time and effort, but for me, it’s worth it. It allows me to provide exactly what I would safely take myself—and I do. The results have confirmed that this is my path.

To gain external professional validation, I entered my products into international competitions. The expert juries at these events consistently highlighted the purity and unique composition of my products, awarding them podium placements in all five competitions I participated in. These professional accolades reinforced my belief that I’m on the right track.

Loving My Work, Loving My Partner

I wouldn’t have made it this far without the support of my husband, Balázs Vendler. He stood by me every step of the way, encouraged me not to give up, and gave me strength even when I doubted myself. I owe him so much—without him, none of this might have been possible.

Now, I’ve reached another milestone: I’ve decided to start sharing information, experiences, and advice with others. My goal is to provide useful and interesting content that helps others find their path in the world of natural, plant-based solutions.

I hope the knowledge and experience I’ve gained will be helpful to those seeking a healthier, more balanced, and higher-quality life.
